Gear Guide: What to Pack for a 72 Hour Hallway Expedition

A hallway expedition demands careful preparation. Our checklist begins with the essentials: one Dot Engine Pro, one Field Ration Kit, a dependable blanket, a toy that squeaks and a second toy that squeaks in a different way.

Do not overpack. A 2022 survey by the Operations Office found that the average hallway expedition requires only one cushion, a bowl and a view. Anything else is deadweight.

Finally, bring a sense of purpose. The hallway is long, the light is dim and the dot is faster than you. But the sofa is right there, and the sofa has always been right there.
